The global landscape is undergoing profound transformations driven by rapid technological advancements, population growth, and the pressing challenges of climate change. Agriculture, as a cornerstone of human sustenance and economic activity, must rise to these challenges by embracing innovation and adaptability.
The fourth agricultural revolution, propelled by big data, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced control systems, is reshaping the sector. Precision farming, a key aspect of this revolution, is transforming farm management and decision-making through advancements in wireless sensor networks, predictive analytics, and real-time monitoring solutions. These technologies are unlocking new possibilities for sustainable and efficient agricultural practices.
To foster collaboration and innovation in this critical domain, the University of Genoa (Italy), the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakesh (Morocco), the Moroccan association OMNEEA Nexus Energy and Agriculture, Polytechnique Montréal (Canada), and Inholland University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) are delighted to announce the Smart Agriculture, Sustainability, and Advanced Control of Complex Systems Congress (IEEE SmartAgri&Susy 2025), to be held in Marrakech in December 2025.
IEEE SmartAgri&Susy 2025 will provide a vibrant platform for researchers, academics, industry professionals, and practitioners to share cutting-edge advancements and insights in smart agriculture, sustainable practices, AI-driven solutions, energy management, and advanced control techniques. Participants will also explore the integration of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to address emerging agricultural challenges.
We invite all interested stakeholders to join us in Marrakech for IEEE SmartAgri&Susy 2025 to discuss the future of sustainable agriculture and the transformative role of smart technologies in shaping the sector. Together, we can forge pathways to innovation and resilience for a sustainable future.

Founded over eight centuries ago, Marrakech is one of Morocco’s iconic imperial cities. Nicknamed “The Red City” for its striking red-hued buildings and walls, it is a place of extraordinary beauty, steeped in history and culture. Set against the majestic High Atlas Mountains, which rise to over 4,000 meters, Marrakech offers a captivating blend of tradition and modernity.
Marrakech is not only a historical treasure but also a thriving economic and tourist hub. The city seamlessly blends the charm of its ancient medina—a labyrinth of narrow alleys, bustling souks, and iconic landmarks—with the modern vibrancy of Gueliz, its contemporary counterpart.
One of Marrakech’s most iconic attractions is the Majorelle Garden, a masterpiece of vibrant design and tranquility. Created by the French artist Jacques Majorelle and later restored by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, the garden is a stunning oasis of exotic plants, vivid colors, and serene water features. It offers a peaceful escape from the city’s bustling streets and provides inspiration through its unique blend of art and nature.
With a delightful climate offering snowy winters and hot, sun-soaked summers, Marrakech’s warm hospitality and lively atmosphere leave a lasting impression on all who visit. Exploring its enchanting souks, where each alley leads to a unique craft or trade, is an experience not to be missed.
